Originally, I wanted to post this piece when I get home from work last night but alas, I have been dying to see the remake of "The Wolfman" ever since it premiered on cable a few days ago so I saw the last half of the film but in doing so I accidentally deleted this piece in the process! Yes, yes indeedy, in other words, I'm gonna have to write this posting all over again. True, I coulda just scrapped it and forgotten about it but I promised the person who had the experience himself that I would write about it, plus I found the subject material extremely fascinating. I think it's worth checking out and I hope you do too.
Although I have written in 3rd person before, this actually is the first time that I will be writing about someone else's experiences other than my own. Who knows, perhaps someone will read this piece and ask me to write their autobiography and maybe even pay me for it...well, it never hurts to dream, does it? I'm not sure what to call the individual who asked me to write this piece so for the sake of clarity, l'll take the liberty of addressing him as "my friend." He is one of my readers who was very taken aback by an earlier piece I wrote regarding the Silvertongue phenomena (September 18, 2010). He assumed that with my mild interest in the paranomal & psychic worlds, as well as my love for all things of a historical context, that I would definitely be intrigued with his story. He assumed correctly. Keep in mind that this is my first time writing something like this so let's give it the good old-fashioned college try and see what happens.....
On a late evening in early December, 2004, my friend had just finished reading the book "At Dawn We Slept: The Untold Stories of Pearl Harbor" by Gordon W. Prangue, when he decided it was time to call it a evening and turn in to bed. He went to bed as he usually did, nothing outta the ordinary but what happened several hours later could be classified as anything but ordinary. Around 3 a.m. that very very early morning he was awakened by something that appeared to be tugging at the end of his bed. He woke up, rubbed his eyes, looked at the foot of his bed and then put his head back down on the pillow. Less than a second later, he literally sat back up, rubbed his eyes a few more times and looked at the foot of his bed again, only this time he fully realized what was tugging on the end of his bedroom comforter - a strange-looking man was standing at the foot of his bed.
What happened next took place over a very few short minutes but to say it was a profound expeirence was quite an understatement. My friend sat right up and looked at the man standing at the foot of his bed and could not believe what he was seeing. The man, measuring around 5' 3" or a little less in height, appeared to be of Asian descent and was wearing what looked like some type of darkly-colored military uniform. Underneath his right arm was a yellowish-looking scroll, about 12 inches in length, and as my friend continued to stare at him, he began to unroll the scroll and revealed on it what appeared to be some type of foreign-writing, with some kind of numerals, all written in black as well as the black imprint of what looked like some kind of battleship. The man did speak English to my friend, but the bizarre thing about it all is that he did so without physically moving his lips.
The strange-looking man then pointed to the almost totally unrolled scroll and said to my friend "This..this right here is what I want." My friend looked at the the scroll then at its messenger and looked back up at him and said "I don't understand" to which the stranger unrolled the scroll the rest of the way, revealing something written in English at the bottom of it - "ARIZONA." What he then said to the stranger next were words he simply could not explain, but which merely flew outta his mouth..."No. No, you cant have them. You took their lives a long, long time ago but I will be damned if you are gonna get their souls too. You go to Hell. You go back to the Hell you came from. Your time has long gone now and you are not welcomed here. Leave. Get out. Get out now." Only a few moments after saying that, the strange-looking military man rolled up the scroll, secured it underneath his right arm and then began to dematerialize instantly. My friend was quite skaken up by the experience but he did manage to lay back down to bed and sleep for a few more hours.
The next morning, he began researching all the details of the experience which took place earlier that morning and what he found did help him put together the remaining pieces of the puzzle. He reviewed all the information he discovered several times, as well as sharing it with me and from a historical standpoint, I must say, everything that he found alarmingly matched exactly with some of the historical details regarding the attack on Pearl Harbor. Now I'll be the first to admit that yeah, I love history and I am pretty darn good at historical research and stuff like that but when it comes to things of a paranormal and/or psychic nature, I'm not an expert, justa mere observer, for lack of a better classification. Be that as it may, I have to admit, my friend did provide a very rational and logical explanation of what happened to him, as well as pieced together a plausible theory that I personally feel even the worst of all skeptics out there could be very tempted to take a good close look at.
Apparently what happened to him was this....after finishing reading "At Dawn We Slept" and falling asleep, somewhere in his subconsciousness he must've channeled one of the people whom he read about in the book. Oh, that he did but it was who he channeled which personally gave me the heebie-jeebies. However, he didn't channel the particular person as a whole spiritual entity but rather who that person was at the time BEFORE the actual attack on Pearl Harbor. The emotions, the thought patterns, the mental distress that any millitary commander in any pre-attack planning stage woulda experienced - that was the frame of mind of the individual, Lieutenant Commander Minoru Genda of the Japanese Navy, who my friend channeled. How did my friend figure that out? Why, simple deductive reasoning of course. Think about it for a minute. Why the hell would anyone connected with the attack on Pearl Harbor, literally come back and demand that they wanted this-or-that when in all rational reality that person knew very well before they passed away that the ARIZONA was indeed destroyed in the attack on Pearl Harbor, and that the Japanese Navy's attack plan was indeed successful? But if the mind-set of what a Japanese millitary commander was premeditating at the time was tapped into, then it makes perfect logical sense that Genda did indeed react the way he did once he was accidentally (for lack of a better term, I guess) channeled into the present. Whew, whatta way to learn about history, ya know? Yep, having the living shit scared outta you would definitely do it for me, that's for sure.
And what my friend said to Genda, the way he reacted, neither he nor I have any explanation for that. As an outsider looking into the situation itself, I suppose the only thing I can make of it is that maybe my friend did indeed exist at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor and perhaps he does indeed have some form of metaphysical connetion to the entire situation; however, that's justa shot in the dark on my part. I assume any licensed professional who deals in past-life-regression therapy could provide more of a background in that type of matter. However, I would like to say that what my friend did say to Genda is something that I could see and hear any patriotic American saying about the tragedy of Pearl Harbor, especially those who survived it. Regardless, I am in no way a psychic detective of any kind so for me personally I guess it's just one of those things that hopefully will somehow be brought to light somewhere down the road.
Yet another thing that I do think is so intriguing about all of this is that when a person with Silvertongue capabilities goes into their full psychic mode, or whatever term that can be used to describe that, frankly, it just blows my mind that they're like this giant psychic-medium-channeling antenna that picks up any and all incoming signals ya know? I mean, wow, whatta trip that must be and from a history buff's perspective, whatta unique way to learn about history! I mean, you read something, you inadvertently channel it and then POW! before you know it, you really are getting exposed to different eras and various time-periods firsthand by interacting with the people who once actually lived them. Pretty far out there when it comes to our current modern technology but then again isnt that always the case with anything of a paranormal nature that the masses are generally both skeptical and/or closeminded about?
In specific regards to that, I really do understand now more than ever why anyone very very rarely hears or reads anything regarding Silvertongue experiences and you know, I'm actually kinda glad that I did write about my friend's experiences because whenever any of us can look at life (or even the afterlife for that matter) from a different perspective from what we're accustomed to, I think it helps us learn even more about the world we live in as well as reminds us that life isn't always in black-or-white, that some of the time it's more in that gray matter area, which isnt always sucha bad thing. In addition, when it comes to things we dont understand or things we fear, maybe if we try to remove ourselves from what we've been conditioned to learn via society all these years and look at it from just the human perspective first, maybe, just maybe, things would be a bit more clearer than they already are. Thank you for reading.
